Alton Towers - CBeebies Land

We were fortunate enough to travel north to visit the newly opened CBeebies Land at Alton Towers. CLIC Sargent made all the arrangements, and our task was to enjoy the experience. With an amazing array of new themed rides designed especially for the little ones, this proved to be a massive hit with both Jesse and Skye, and made for an amazing few days away.

With Water Park and buffet meals thrown into the mix, the needs of both boys were met. Postman Pat came up trumps as the 'top ride'. Driving his van to deliver the variety of items required by the villagers of Greendale, proved to be great fun.

Meeting Tree Fu Tom and staying in 'his' room was the cherry on the top. The Alton Towers Hotel have re-developed their rooms to coincide with the opening of CBeebies Land on the 24th May 2014, and they certainly didn't disappoint. Sensory overload! When Skye then met Tree Fu Tom and beamed from ear to ear for 10 minutes, Sally and I had to take a moment to compose ourselves as the tears rolled down our cheeks. The smile on Skye's face reduced us both to emotional wrecks. It was a moment that we will always savour.

Jesse was almost beside himself when he met Upsy Daisy and responded by putting his hand up her skirt. We need to teach him a little etiquette, I think! Upsy Daisy looks as surprised as we were. To see both boys having so much fun was a real treat. Jesse was incorrigible and stayed up far too late due to the excitement of it all.
