Oxford Bus Company ‘Brand the Bus’ Campaign
Blue Skye Thinking are the proud winners of this year’s Oxford Bus Company’s ‘Brand the Bus’ competition, enabling the charity to design our own bus wrap, featuring our brand colours, logo and messaging which will be showcasing the charity all around Oxfordshire. (Watch our short entry video here to see why we won and understand our call to ‘dream big’ for children with brain tumours.)
This is a unique opportunity to raise our Charity’s profile within Oxford and beyond, with the help of a strategic social media campaign and press coverage. Most importantly, we want to ensure that we use this opportunity to make a significant impact for children with brain tumours. Find out more about how your business could help….
How your business can help…
We are looking for several local business partners to sponsor our ‘snap and share’ social media campaign, where members of the public who spot our ‘Big Blue Dream Bus’ out and about are asked to upload and share their picture with one (or more) of our social media pages. Every share will generate a £5 donation to Blue Skye Thinking which will help give children diagnosed with brain tumours a better chance of survival and improved quality of life post-diagnosis.
We already have two local businesses who are willing to sponsor the ‘snap and share’ campaign, but we would like to offer you the opportunity to join with them and make this opportunity as impactful as we possibly can.
How does it work?
Your business pledges to donate £5 per ‘snap and share,’ up to a maximum cap you feel comfortable with.
Individuals taking part in the ‘snap and share’ campaign will scan our QR code and be directed to our landing page featuring our business sponsors’ logos and links to their websites.
Opportunity for your business – what do you get?
· Your logo and website link on the landing page, viewed by each person who takes part in the ‘snap and share’ campaign.
· Businesses will be featured and thanked individually across our Blue Skye Thinking social media platforms. Our Facebook Page alone has over 14,000 followers, so your business will reach a significant number of potential customers.
· Potential opportunity to be involved in press and radio coverage. We are looking for businesses who are prepared to speak about why they are supporting the campaign. Previous charity campaigns have been featured on BBC South Today, BBC Radio Oxford and The Oxford Mail.
· Opportunity for you to share your involvement with your own social media followers and customers.
· Invitation to attend our ‘Big Blue Dream Bus’ launch event under planning for the beginning of July 2021.
Impact of your donations?
This year our focus is on the impact that Coronavirus is having on those suffering with cancer, and in particular, the effect the pandemic is having on crucial research projects. We hope that with your help, we can support our researchers on the front line of paediatric brain tumour research and prevent them from having to ‘down tools’ due to a lack of funding.
We are close to reaching our £200k target in our ‘Coronavirus and Cancer’ campaign, £1,500 will enable world class research to continue for another 4 years.
Your sponsorship will help us to reach this target and also fund our new project a ‘Magical Musical’. This special project will hopefully bring a moment of magic onto the wards as we believe emotional wellbeing is every bit as important as treatment received.
